Questions we hear every day
Straight answers about cost, contracts, what an adjustment feels like, and what happens on your first visit.
The doctor walks you through the approach before anything happens, and you can say no to anything. If you are nervous, we can use the Activator, a small instrument that gives a light tap with no twisting or popping. Nervous first-timers are normal, and the same hands adjust pregnant women, newborns and older patients every week.
No. You get treated on your first visit before you commit to anything. After that you can pay by the visit, or choose a prepaid or monthly plan.
No, and you would be surprised how often we hear that one. Your schedule is a recommendation based on how you present, not a set package. Many patients notice a change by the third or fourth visit. That is typical, never promised, and it is a good point to decide together what comes next.
New patients are usually seen within one business day, and same-day appointments are available. We are open Monday to Friday, with a 6:00 am start on Tuesdays.
It depends on your insurance and what the exam shows, so the front desk checks your benefits and tells you before you come in. You can pay by the visit, use HSA/FSA, or spread the cost with Cherry, CareCredit or an in-house plan. New patients can try StemWave for $49, including a consult and your first session.
We are in network with Aetna, Aetna Medicare Advantage, Ambetter, ASH Networks, BlueCross BlueShield (Networks P and S), BlueCross BlueShield Medicare Advantage, Cover Kids TN, Cigna, HealthSpring, Humana, Humana Medicare Advantage, Medicare, Multiplan, Optum Health, UnitedHealthcare (UHC), UHC Medicare Advantage, UMR. Call or book online and we will check your plan before your visit.
Only if the exam calls for them. Many patients do not need any.
Then we will tell you. Some conditions are outside chiropractic, and if you are not seeing results the doctor refers you to someone who can help.
Yes. You can see either Dr. Johnson or Dr. Bates, or ask for one when you book.
Yes. We adjust moms through every trimester, and we adjust babies and newborns, kids and teens with light-touch techniques sized for them.
Yes. Tell us when you book so we can see you quickly, and bring your claim details so the front desk can sort out billing.
Yes. Our HIPAA-compliant new patient forms are online, so your visit is spent with the doctor instead of a clipboard.
Of course. Send them this page or our What to expect page so they have the same answers you do. We will be here when you are ready, and we are happy to answer any questions.
Not quite. We adjust shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and feet too, and plenty of adjustments make no sound at all. When you do hear a pop, it is just gas shifting in the joint.
Is chiropractic right for me?
If you are tired of hurting and want a clear plan from a doctor who listens, probably yes. We see adults, families, pregnant moms, newborns, athletes, and people recovering from car accidents.
We are not the cheapest first visit in town, and we will not compete to be. We are not the right fit if you only want to talk price and set your own care plan, or if you are not really looking to get better. Some conditions are outside chiropractic, and we refer those out. That is how you know our recommendations come from your exam, not a price sheet.
Ready when you are.
